Lucas Pichler never wanted to walk into a ready-made nest. Someone who stands on the shoulders of a legend called “F.X.” has no choice in the matter. He must live up to the high reputation and still listen to his inner voice.

The principal advantages of the Wachau DAC status include increased transparency, clarity, and an absolute commitment to wines of origin. The new Wachau DAC comes into effect from the 2020 vintage.

The F.X. Pichler winery leaves the Vinea Wachau. It was a decision that both generations made together.
